Wow. It’s been six and a half years since we started helping companies tell their stories through blogging, building websites and training teams how to use LinkedIn effectively. And none of it would have been possible if it weren’t for you. And I do mean you. The only reason you’re reading this is if you have some kind of connection to Blue Gurus. You know me or Mic personally. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be taking the time to read this.

I’m so thankful for the relationship that we have. Whether you’re a client, a family member, referral partner, peer advisory group member, or you just know us socially, you’re a friend. And nothing matters more to us.

Did you know that around 90% of startups fail? I really like this article at Fortune.com that goes into why. The number one reason for startups failing was that the market didn’t need their product or service. I think we’ve gotten past the startup phase, but I think the idea is true for every business, no matter how old. People have to want or need what you’re doing or selling for you to be successful.

And that’s why our relationship matters so much. You trust us. You trust us with your company stories and brand. You trust us with the visible representation of your brand through your website. And you trust us with your people when we train them. You trust us to be there to celebrate and cry with you. And you trust that we’ll do what we say we’re going to do.

Thank you. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for allowing us to make a living by helping you accomplish your goals. Thank you for your friendship.

I hope that you enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends! Hopefully, you aren’t running all over the place and stressing out. If you are, try to find a moment to sit down, breathe, and think about all the good things this year has brought. The people that were instrumental in making those things happen. And hopefully, that will put a big smile on your face. Just like it did for me.
