The 2019 List of Things to Buy for Less Than $50

November 26, 2019 / in Gadgets, General Information / by

Every year, I try to come up a list with my favorite items that you might consider buying on Black Friday. This year, I’m going to keep everything on the list under $50. So no, the DJI Mavic Mini drone won’t make this list. (But it is the most powerful drone $400 will buy. Similar drones used to cost over $1,000. So if you needed a techie splurge idea… go for it.)

And before I jump into the list… be sure to check out the DealNews Black Friday roundup. They keep an up-to-date list of Black Friday deals across most major retailers. And if you’re struggling to find something unique for the person that has everything, I love UncommonGoods.com.

The List!

  • SoundPEATS True Wireless Earbuds – when you don’t want to spend $150+ on wireless earbuds, but you have an Apple device with no headphone jack. These sound great and stay in my ears for workouts and mowing the lawn.
  • 68 Ounce Stainless Steel Carafe – when you are entertaining lots of coffee drinkers. You might also want to try some of this Lavazza Coffee with your new carafe.
  • CloudLine Merino Wool Socks – these are some of my favorite socks. I wear them all year round! I recommend the blue ones of course. (And I’m also a fan of Bombas socks that are 20% off site-wide right now.)
  • SteelSeries Rival 310 Gaming Mouse – a comfortable mouse that’s accurate. And if your special someone is on the go, then check out this Microsoft travel mouse that’s normally $30 but on sale for $10 right now.
  • Belkin 6-Outlet Surge Protector with 2 USB ports – if you are like me, you have a lot of electronics in your kitchen or by your bed that need power. This is a good way to keep all those cables “somewhat” organized. If you prefer something smaller and easier to hide, consider this GE Designer extension cord.
  • Logitech C920 Pro Webcam – for when you start doing more webinars and screen sharing with remote clients on your home desktop computer. Sure, a webcam is built into your laptop… but I don’t want to set it up for a video conference call when I have a home desktop computer. This webcam solves that problem.
  • Manfrotto Universal Smartphone Clamp – smartphone cameras keep getting better. Pair this with the Manfrotto PIXI mini tripod for a rock solid base when you are snapping photos on the go.
  • Anker 10-foot USB C Cable | Anker 10-foot Lightning Cable – you can charge while reading or watching a movie without feeling quite so tethered to the wall. We take Anker Wall chargers and a couple of longer charging cables on all our trips. (These are especially helpful on cruise ships… it seems like the outlets are always too far from the bed.)
  • The Lofree Digit Calculator – not sure why I love this calculator so much… maybe it’s the chunky keys? Trista saw mine and wanted one for her office!
  • And if you didn’t see the list from 2018, check it out! I still love and use all the products on that list.

I hope there was something on this list that becomes a present for someone you care about. I’ve bought and used everything on this list in 2019. Each one has the Blue Gurus stamp of approval. :)

I hope you enjoy Black Friday shopping from the comfort of your home on your iPad!
