Hello, friends! This week’s story is geared towards people that are going to be graduating from College soon and entering the workforce. So if you’re not that person, maybe forward this video to somebody that you know that’s going to be graduating soon.
Thanks to my good friend and client Kathryn Ayers Wickenhauser for the idea! She mentioned recently that she knows a bunch of people that are going to be graduating soon. They have LinkedIn accounts, but they don’t look the best. She was wondering if I would put together a video that hits the highlights of things that they need to do in their LinkedIn profile. So that is exactly what I did!
I talk about profile best practices and connecting to their professors, parents, other kid’s parents and more to build a network that will allow them to hit the ground running as they search for their first job. I even share a success story about my neighbor’s two oldest boys finding great engineering jobs here in Kansas City… and they had those jobs lined up before graduating… all because of people they knew. This. Stuff. Works.
They have kept us on point through the years, updating our systems and processes, so we are able to focus on Downtown KC!
