Google Changed Things – Asking for Google Business Reviews

Hello friends! In my video this week, I walk you through how to grab the URL you need to send people directly to your Google Business listing to leave a Google review. Why is this important? For starters you need to make sure you can actually access your Google Business listing. Most of the time, businesses haven’t updated their profile in a long time or don’t even know how to access their Google Business page.

Once you have access, finding the URL that links directly to the review form is simple. (Watch the video to learn how.)

In my experience, most companies don’t have any kind of ongoing plan to gather positive Google reviews. And that’s a missed opportunity. Your company might get word of mouth referrals all the time. And what do they do? They Google your company name to start the process of checking out your website. What shows up in the search results? Your Google Business listing on the right column of the search results. Zero reviews? Not good. A one star rating average? Not good.

You have plenty of customers that love working with you.

But a lot of the time the people that take time to leave reviews are not happy about something. You actually have to work a little to ask the happy people to leave you a review to combat any negative reviews you might be getting. And you want to make that process really easy for your customer… right? Then you need to provide them with a URL that links them directly to the review form on your business listing. And I show you exactly how to do that in less than 5 minutes.

Next time someone sings your praises… ask them if they would be willing to leave you a Google review.
