Tchotchke Idea #23: Custom Logo Socks

If you’ve been following my stories for a while, you know that I enjoy creative branding. I’m always looking for useful client gifts in the form of branded tchotchkes. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out my blog post, “Branding is important. Have you ordered tchotchkes lately?”

I’ve also been bitten by the dress sock bug… I’ve mentioned Bombas, London Sock Company and Southern Scholar in my blog posts over the past 3 months. I don’t do things halfway. So of course I had to get some Blue Gurus socks made!

I did a little Googling and found CustomSockShop.com. I clicked on “Design Your Own”, chose “Dress or Business Use” and then “Repeated Logo”. I was able to pick the main sock color, the cuff color, the toe & heel color and then upload my logo and choose the color for the logo. It took me 5 minutes to order 15 pair of Blue Gurus socks. For a small quantity, they ended up being about $16/pair. The more you order the bigger the discount.

A couple of weeks later they arrived, and I loved the result. I decided to give them as gifts to one of my peer advisory groups. My challenge was for them to take a photo wearing the socks in the normal course of business to be included in this blog post. Here are the results:

These pictures were taken at home, in the car, in the office, in the sky and on vacation. The socks are already well traveled. And they’re a fun way to get your logo out there as a gift and conversation starter.
