Thanks for coaching the high road, Mic! It can be very intimidating for some managers to share information openly and not try to control the outcome by spinning the news. But it's essential to be open and honest in every communication to gain and maintain trust and credibility, and ultimately - move the team forward in a positive solution and collaborative spirit. This success story is a wonderful example - best wishes to you and to your client!

Great post Mic. One thing I've heard recently that I wish I had known years ago is "[Success] comes from saying no to 1,000 things to make sure we don't get on the wrong track or try to do too much." - Steve Jobs, 2004.

I'd wager 5 bux that Google + will eventually serve up ads with far more specific targeting than facebook. They can target words in your likes, they can cross-reference ANYTHING, not just categories that people have created on FB. I'm not sure about early bird getting the worm on this one. I think Google saw an opportunity and is being sly about it so that consumer's don't get pissed that BIG BROTHER is watching their every PRE-PURCHASING decision.

Just a hunch. I'm on there currently for research purposes, but may shut it down soon if i start seeing creepily specific ads.
